Internet Failure

I recently installed Ubuntu Mate 20.04 on an older laptop. It was working great for the last week and then today I cannot seem to connect to the internet. It says connected to my WiFi but I cannot access the internet and all of my non-linux devices are working.

I'd appreciate any help I can get as I am very new to Linux.

System:
Ubuntu
Release 20.04.4 LTS 64-Bit
Kernel Linux 5.13.0-35-generic x86_64

Hardware
Memory: 3.7 GiB
Processor: Intel Core i5-467M CPU @ 1.6Hz x 4
Graphics: Mesa DRI Intel HD Graphics 3000 (SNB GT2)

There are some proprietary WiFi drivers for Broadcom and a few others. What kind of WiFi is in your laptop? If you could connect via Ethernet you could possibly update the firmware with the necessary drivers. It's possible that you can try to update your firmware without Ethernet. At least you could with Linux Mint Mate, Cinnamon, and Xfce. You would insert the live USB which has the needed files but not sure if Ubuntu Mate supports that. Seems like a firmware issue but I could be wrong. Best of luck fixing it. Best regards. :v:
