Is a half-configured & half-installed notice normal?

I found this snip in dpkg.log

there were 1013 occurrences of half-configured and 866 of half installed.

Interesting find and I do indeed find many, too. Here’s what I did…

Looking at /var/log/dpkg.log with pluma, I did a search/find on one of the package names which highlights all occurrences. It then became clear those “half-” actions are some sort of progress flag which may be helpful in debugging.

Starting… half there… done. Log files are like that. :grin:

Someone correct me if I’m wrong?
