I am using Ubuntu Mate 22.04 LTS. The Show Desktop icon in 20.04 was on the right of the bottom panel and it was more speedy, as opened apps are displayed from right to left. In 22.04 it seems not possible to move the Show Desktop icon to the right, because then all open apps are squeezed to the right of the bottom panel.
How is it possible to move the Show Desktop icon to the right of bottom panel without affecting the opened apps in the bottom panel?
Not quite sure but I added to panel and it works on my 22.04.
Possibly check to see if it is locked. Also other icons may be locked preventing it moving. Just a guess.
Edit: if locked will have a checkmark. If so may have to unlock temporarily of ones blocking.
