i have a video for the issue can i upload it ?
Hi, @dsl ![]()
You've asked:
You won't be able to upload a video in a post / reply here in the "Ubuntu MATE Community" but, if the video is available in some well-known video / "tube" web sites (like "YouTube" or "Vimeo"), you will be able to do something that is almost the same: if you add a link to the URL of a "YouTube" or "Vimeo" video in a single line in your reply, that video will get "embedded" in your reply in place of that URL
For instance, writing the following "YouTube" video URL in a line by itself:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XemvaO6rco
... it will get expanded / replaced by the corresponding embedded video:
Same thing for a "Vimeo" video URL:
https://vimeo.com/1033273681/68aa38d34a
... which will also get expanded / replaced by the corresponding embedded video:
I hope this helps ![]()

Hi, @dsl ![]()
According to the following article from the Lenovo web site, in some cases it may be necessary to disable the "Secure Boot" option in your BIOS / UEFI settings of your "Lenovo ThinkPad X270" to be able to boot from the external USB connected hard drive:
From that web page, let me quote here the relevant section:
" (...)
4. Secure Boot: (optional)
- For systems with secure boot enabled, you might need to disable secure boot in BIOS/UEFI settings.
- If you need to disable secure boot to boot from a USB device, see this link: Disabling Secure Boot. Disabling secure boot may be necessary as it can sometimes prevent the system from recognizing and booting from external devices.
(...)"
( For extra caution, you may wish to backup first the important data that you may have in your "Debian" installation to some other external hard drive, just in case something goes wrong when trying to change the BIOS / UEFI settings )
I hope this helps. Please keep us posted ![]()
