I am having a Lenovo G50 laptop installed Mate 16.04, when watching videos youtube ,netflix or anything pixels are seen in the videos.
Videos are not getting the HD clarity, when watching in windows 10 in my machine videos are rendering correctly.

What video does it have? If Nvidia, go to Additional Drivers and install the proper drivers and see if that helps.
TBH, the screenshot you posted looks fine to me and if it weren’t for Win10 displaying it properly, I’d be tempted to suspect a hardware problem.

If you look closely to the picture behind the person on the video there is a wave like circular imprints are there which will be worse some times and the video quality gets more shaggy, where as these videos plays great in windows.
My graphics card is is intel broadwell integrated card, which i can see propriotory drivers are selected in additional drivers.
Any help on this issue is much appreciated.
