Issues with browsing local network 16.10

I am unable to correctly browse my local network. What dose show up I can not drill down or connect.

I’m running 16.10, on previous version I have been able to browse my NAS. I would be asked for the login and then folders and files would be available as if they were on my PC. I would be able to browse the Windows shares. I would be able to see my network printer and router at least to the point of seeing these devices as connected to the network. I can connect to the ftp server on the NAS and I can print to my network printer. I just can see or use stuff in Caja.

No one has any suggestions???

Is “Stora” in your /etc/hosts file? Can you browse the shared files using “Stora” IP address?

The name “Stora.local” suggests that the name resolution problem is with “avahi” somewhere. The “avahi” daemon should collect IP addresses from each host on your network. I don’t use “avahi” here as I have had various issues with it.
