Hi!
With Pluma and the Mate sticky notes I get the following result when I enter a bunch of characters. 
This is a sticky note after I started writing characters. Initially it looked okay, and with every character it got turned up like on the picture. At the first few characters there's only a vertical line between each of the characters. Pluma didn't write any error in terminal while I wrote.
