that there is UbuntuMate Cloudtop and UbuntuMate Minimal options!
Are these only for 15.04 and up or can they be for 14.04?
Also how do I get one of these set up? Install one then uninstall the UbuntuMate Desktop? Would love to try out that cloudtop version for my server.
ubuntu-mate-desktop is a meta image, it wouldn’t uninstall existing packages. You could give it a test run by installing Ubuntu MATE from scratch, or have Ubuntu Server as a base.

Instead of the full desktop, try ubuntu-mate-cloudtop. This looks new, so I suggest giving it a test run first!

Well it worked. But the motherboard on that computer fried.
I dont think that they are supposed make a popping sound and then you see and smell smoke.
Dammit!
