Kernel 4.4 was out yesterday and it brings opengl support for raspberry pi but not 3d hardware acceleration (it is planned for kernel 4.5).
I am wondering if there will be some build of Ubuntu mate for raspberry pi with opengl support soon with kernel 4.4, X.org server with open source driver support and the good version of mesa ?
Opengl support would be a really great improvement for ours raspberries pi !
The Pi 2 build of Ubuntu MATE uses the Raspiberry Pi Foundation kernel right now, so as soon as that is available and an appropriate Xorg driver is available we could transition to it.
