I am running 16.04 and I have earlier installed keyboard layouts, but no the button for adding new layouts is gray. Does anyone have an idea why this is? I have tried to look for answers in here, but so far I haven't been able to detect a thread dealing with this issue.

Hi @nicolaigideon, I was in a 16.04 virtual machine so added some layouts. I found the 4th caused the grayed +Add and removing 1 allowed +Add again. I'm not sure why the limit. Do you see same?
Oh my, oh my! You are right! Only space for four keyboards! What a turn-off! Thank you for helping me out though!

Maybe we just inherited that from GNOME 2?
