G’Day; Have Ubuntu Mate 15.10 installed on my Laptop, the keyboard short cuts work once only then not again until I reboot then again once only…any thoughts would be appreciated

In System -> Preferences -> Keyboard. Under the Layout-tab, choose
your layout and hit the "Layout Options" button. In there, try changing
the values under Alt/Win key behavior. I have "Super is mapped to the
Win-keys" there, and I've mapped Win+t to open a terminal.
Found this somewhere else on google,it could help... still its seems to me that it has nothing to do with this,but giving it a try doesn't hurt

I noticed some laptops having a dedicated key (such as volume change) may interfere with keycombo if u create a separate key…
