Keyboard shortcuts for brightness

Hi everyone,

I am sorry, if there is a solution for my problem and I did not find it, but I tried a view an no one worked.
My keyboard shortcuts for brightness doesnt work. There is an icon showing by pressing buttons for high and low but nothing happened.
So, first I changed the entry in /etc/default/grub
from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor"
updated and restart, but nothing changed.
Then I tried the solution from here: Phyton-Code
I was surprised that even that did not work!

I controlled twice if I did a mistake, but I am sure, I didnt…

Maybe it has something to do with the laptop? I have a Presario CQ57, AMD-C50 CPU, 8GB RAM
I am using the 18.04 Beta, may that can be a reason?

Thanks for your answers!

Finally I found a solution that I want to share, in case somebody will have the same problem.
Found it here: askubuntu
I only did the first 4 steps which was enough.
So, first I changed the entry in /etc/default/grub
from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" to ...quite splash modprobe radeon.modeset=1"
then update and restart. Now the brightness works perfectly!
