Learned something new about resizing windows

What I learned today about marco, the windowmanager:

RightClicking on the maximize button maximizes the window only horizontally
MiddleClicking on the maximize button maximizes the window only vertically

Never knew this...and I've been using gnome2/mate since ubuntu 6.06 :woozy_face:

In my entire going-on-fifty years of computing I have never, ever, used a three-button mouse. I don't know where I'd begin! :blush:

Works for some apps but does not work for some other, e.g. Firefox (as snap on my rig).

Have never been aware of this before (switched to Linux / Ubuntu / Ubuntu MATE august.2016).

Just tested with Librewolf (= non-snap firefox with sane privacy settings) and it works so I guess your insight is right that it doesn't work for snaps. That is good extra info to know. :+1:
(I myself don't use snap)
