Subject line is it in a nutshell, Initially they both (mouse & keyboard) work, but within seconds or up to one minute become unresponsive. Versions 20.04, and 21.10 ran just fine. I had disabled screen lock, and had changed power and screen saver settings to never sleep before the upgrade. However, near the end the screen went blank white. The hard drive light continued to show activity - so every few minutes I hit enter until a restart dialog window appeared.
Possibly related is the same thing happening on a Lenovo T410 in Mate 22.04. At least he got an error that seems to point to the Intel HD Graphics Link HERE
