LightDM updates

I just finished updating (been two days) and now lightdm is down. Startx still works.

There were lightdm updates today. I did an additional dist-upgrade and it did nothing. Anyone else seeing this?

I have not see this one before

sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

Ok its not totally broke. I had to walk away for a minute and when I returned, it had booted. Its taking over a minute to boot.

I switched back to systemd and everything is good again.

I run a ram session that depends on upstart, too bad.

I am tempted to do a reinstall of mate, this install has been kicked around a bit.

Well it was rough, but I managed to get things done this weekend between football games :smiley:

I wiped everything and back to running m14.04. My testing days are over till next month when 16o4 comes out and I yet again wipe it all and start fresh.

Me wonders if anyone is running mate in ram and how.
