I am looking for a piece of software that manages addresses and a calendar ans stores the data only locally. Syncing over devices or with a cloud I don’t want. And this software would need to be able to import addresses and calendars exported from ms office.
Does anyone have a recommendation?

Probably Thunderbird. I haven’t checked that Office will export in appropriate formats.
But thunderbird is syncing with the email account you have included. Or is it not?
I guess you could set up Thunderbird with no email account and just use its Address Book and Calendar?
Sure. But I have it already installed with accounts included. So that does not seem to be an option.
OK. So maybe Seamonkey with no email account, using its addressbook, and with the Lightning extension for calendars. Just guessing.
I don’t know that TB does any syncing of anything - if it does, I’d like to hear about it. I’ve been using TB since the beginning, and have never run across such a thing. However, as unlikely as it might seem, I could be wrong 
In any case, surely it would be something that you opt in to. Seriously, if anyone knows otherwise, please chime in…
Sgage is right. TB does not sync address books and calendars. At least not by default. So this is indeed the easiest solution. Thanks all.
