Lock Screen Fails & Unlocks Automatically

Hi all,

I'm having two issues that may or may not be related:

  1. Screen does not lock using the SUPER+L combination. This does work after a reboot. But then starts to fail after an undetermined length of time.

  2. Screen unlocks automatically. After locking my screen I can come back to my computer some time later to find it completely unlocked - all windows viewable.

I just started to notice this happening over the last 2-days.

My setup:

  • homemade desktop with i7-6700k
  • 3 displays: 2xDisplayPort, 1xHDMI
  • uname -a: Linux i7-6700k 5.0.0-32-generic #34~18.04.2-Ubuntu SMP Thu Oct 10 10:36:02 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Can you tell me which version of mate-screensaver you are running?

mate-screensaver --version

There is/was an issue that has been fixed in mate-screensaver-1.20.2
