Lyx not giving pdf output option

Hi.

The Software Boutique didn’t have Lyx so I’ve installed Ubuntu Software Center and then, Lyx through it. I’ve installed most of TexLive packages but for some reason, Lyx doesn’t give me the option of creating a pdf output. I only see DVI as an option. pdflatex seems installed but even if I wanted to re-install it again, I wouldn’t know how to do it as I didn’t find anything to download it from (no tar, no PPA).

When I used Lyx on Windows, I used it with MikTex and it allowed me to see all the packages installed while with TexLive I can’t do it.

Edit: I’m using Ubuntu Mate 16.04.

Installed via Synaptic the menu looks like this

You need to click on the image to see all of the second menu.

The export "ps2pdf" worked without any problems. :slight_smile:
