Make GT3 apps respect the shiki colors theme?

Hello. My first time here,so I’m not sure where this post must go,what category and such.
I have Ubuntu Mate 14.04, with Mate 1.8.2 , and various ppas enabled.

The only gripe I have with it is that GTK3 (?) apps like Firefox,Rhythmbox and such don’t respect my Shiki colors gtk theming (I presume that is Gtk2 ) .

Can I make their look uniform in the SHiki-Dust colors?
I really love my Shiki-Dust-Buuf Remix icon theme combo, and I dont wanna change .
Thanks !

I don’t think you can do that unless you create or find (don’t think it exists) a Shiki Dust GTK3 theme.

I also use UM 1404 and just as you say GTK3 apps don’t follow GTK2 theming unlike QT4 apps which do.

The biggest problem with GTK3 is that there are no themes available compared to GTK2. Yes there are plenty of GTK3 themes available, but you have to find your exact version:

GTK 3 3,2 3,4 3,6 3,8 3,10 3,12 3,14 3,16 3,18 3,20 mean a lot of work for theme creators and most of them quit along the way.

Sad, but true.

Thank you mrtribute.
I honestly don’t get it ,what’s with all this fragmentation in GTk. They seems to break compatibility and themes regularly…
