Managing Mobile Modem's USSD right from Ubuntu MATE?

I use Internet through mobile broadband. It just works as it does in Windows, except that I don’t have access to the USSD menu. That way, I can check the remaining balance, take any new Internet packages, etc. Whenever I have to do these things, I have to go to Windows; otherwise everything else is just fine. The only thing I’m missing is the USSD support in Ubuntu MATE. I don’t know anyway to use the USSD menu from Ubuntu MATE, or from Linux, in general. I came along an application named modem-manager-gui. The added benefit is I can check the incoming SMS messeges. Other than that, it has USSD support, but somehow I couldn’t get it working.
Does anyone who Linux support for USSD menu? How can I use mobile’s USSD from Ubuntu MATE? That way I wouldn’t need to log in to Windows. Any command-line tool would do too.
