I just upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04, and my Mate Terminal fonts are now much less readable, being vertically "fuzzy". It looks like an anti-aliasing problem of some sort. Fonts in other applications do not show this problem. In particular, my preferred font "Inconsolata-g" is much less pleasant than it should be (see the attached screenshot).
My desktop is XFCE. There are multiple places to configure font aliasing but I haven't found one that seems to affect Mate Terminal behavior.
Any suggestions are welcome! I'm happy to provide more information to help debug this. Thanks in advance!
