Mate-Terminal question - Copy and paste from file manager into Mate terminal without file:///

Hi guys!

Is there a possibility/setting (.conf file) for copy and paste of files whose link in the file manager without the
file:// /path-to-file can then be pasted into the Mate terminal?

Example:
Not like this:
file:///path-to-file

But only like this:
/path-to-file

Copy and paste without the file:/// works for me only in text manager, but not in Mate terminal.

I am constantly annoyed to delete the file:/// in the mate terminal during copy and paste actions.

Maybe there is a way to disable this?

The only way I know of at the moment is to drag the files from Caja into the terminal, instead of copying and pasting:

hmm, I'm aware of that, but thanks for the info anyway. Too bad that it does not go differently
