Mate the future of the linux desktop?

I have read the article. And yes,it’s right. Mate is what a desktop need to be. I don’t have big problems with unity or gnome, but make it’s more simple to use and perfect for desktop use. I believe the project needs more developer to accelerate it’s evolution end in less time that we can think mate can become THE DESKTOP of GNU/Linux system.
