Mate Tweak, option to keep applets added when changing layout?

When you change the panel layout, any customization reverts to default; is there any chance to add an option to keep the applets and custom launchers when changing the panel layout?

Yeah, I noted that as well. I lost all of my custom icons, which were quite a few in mumber. Not a major deal, but a slight irritation.

That is on the roadmap, but I’ve not decided how to implement it yet.

Maybe restoring the customizations could be the default action and a checkbox to “restore to default”?

Edit: or reverse; default when you change panels and a check box to keep the customizations…

there just should be a button like ‘apply’. before it’s clicked nothing should be changed because user may not like and any system crash should not enforce any changes

i also lost indicators, icons, multiple desktop settings, primary screen settings. just don’t auto-apply anything, it’s against UX.
