Mate tweaks and hdpi screen resolution

Hello, I tried to configure the mouse and enter the option of mate tweets when I clicked on the hdpi options, I was wrong and the screen resolution was lowered. I can not reverse the changes, and the letters and screen come out very large without access to almost anything. Someone could tell me how to return to the original screen. Higher resolution I tried it with screen and ramdr settings and it does not change this resolution. I have ubuntu mate 18.04.
Thanks for your help

You can open mate tweak pressing the SUPER key and typing.
Then move the window by dragging it pressing (anywhere inside the window) ALT+the left mouse button, to show the resolution control. Then choose a proper resolution and move the window to see the ok button.
If the drag does not start, try dragging with shift+alt+left and then release the shift key.

When activating hdpi in mate tweak the resolution was changed. The icons and fonts appear very large and overlapping and it does not allow me to change the size of the fonts. The bars, menu and windows too. And I can not get to tweet mate to disable hdpi. I adjusted the resolution with the resolution of my screen to the maximum, with Xrandr but it remains the same. I have ubuntu mate with ryzen 3 2200G. Thanks for your help.

It didn’t change your resolution, it changed the scaling factor of every window and widget.

If you can access a terminal, type the following:

gsettings set org.mate.interface window-scaling-factor 1

This disables HiDPI entirely (it’s the same as toggling that switch in mate-tweak, but you probably cannot reach that switch currently)

I had the same problem and solved it with the window scaling code. Went back to MATE Tweaks and the HiDPI setting was still set there. Changed it to original 'Auto Detect'.

The reason for doing was to make the scaling fit the screen. 'Display' shows it as smaller than laptop screen. That is, things are too big. The machine resolution is 1366 - 768 and that is what is set. There is no higher resolution to pick.

I've not run MATE 18.04 long... a few nights. My normal is 16.04 Unity. In 'Display' on Unity, there is a 'Scale for Menu and Title' bar. Is there somewhere this exists in MATE? If not, is there the same ability through other methods?
