For the last ±week a message when downloading updates says that [incorrectly] ‘Failed to download repository information. Check your internet connection.’
But it has done everything correctly.s there a way of repairing this anomaly without reload a fresh 16.04 LTS or is it easier to wait for 17.04 LTS?
It could be that one of the repositories on your system doesn’t exist anymore, please post this command in the terminal so we can take a look:
sudo apt update
For the one that is problematic, disable them in Software & Updates (it’s in the System → Administration menu) in the “Other Software” tab. Alternately, try a different download server from the “Ubuntu Software” tab.
