Mic is not working on 20.04 mate with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B

Hi,

I am using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS mate for the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, Audio out with HDMI is working fine but when I am using 3.5 mm jack mic it is not detecting in my system for the audio input, please help me to resolve an issue.

The 3.5mm jack is for video/audio out -- I dont think you can provide audio input. Maybe you can connect a usb mic to pi4 https://www.amazon.com/s?k=usb+audio
