Need wifi card working asap. ethernet on pc doesnot work (Shot by lightning)

Hi, i want to install ubuntu mate on my desktop to see how well it works for me but the problem is that my wireless card does not work in the os. i cant use ethernet because of the fact that it was hit by lightning and it does not work. the wireless card is a d-link dwa-182. the website has drivers for the os but they do not work. it wont install them correctly. can someone please help me with this problem

sorry but it is not working for me. Do you got anything else that might help?

EDIT: i was wrong i plugged in my netgear wna1100 wireless card and did a apt-get update and installed build-essential and linux-headers-generic. after that i installed git then did the commands in the link above. worked like a charm
