Networking Overhaul...please!

Thank you for your help, I shall give it shot this weekend, I did end up just using a bookmark to get a link to Windows, which although not as good as a permanent mount, works, I’m happy to be one step forward!

I agree. Having the same problem here. I have tried the tutorials provide from how to geek and they are not working.

A while back I tried to use fstab for identifying my NAS, after 3 hours of total non-productive attempts I took the low road and decided that a bookmark works 95% of the time and a simple retry fixes the remaining 5%

@DaveB suggested to hide Windows OS drives
####Here’s another example to easily hide a Windows OS NTFS partition:

UUID=**** /mnt/Windows ntfs noauto 0 0

replacing “****” with relevant NTFS partition UUID string

Did you select the checkbox for updating to the latest software listings in the Software Boutique?
There were some updates concerning the Steam installation, so make sure you get those updates.
With the latest update installed (16.10.0~xenial1.10) I could install Stream just fine from the Software Boutique.

We have a tutorial concerning partitioning written by one of our own … @wolfman

Networking tutorial?

Have a great day… unless you’ve made other plans !

that would be awesome if someone made a video and it actually worked.

Hi pfeiffep,

Thanks for sharing! Minor clarification, recommend hiding Windows OS partition/s. :slight_smile:
