Are there components on this list which should not be for latest ubuntu or ubuntu mate?

tl;dr this has not been entertained since 14.04 - trusty tahr.

These are Clevo laptops, same origin as the laptops offered by Entroware, a sponsor of Ubuntu MATE.

Although each Clevo vendor can specify different components, you should be OK if you compare with Entroware offerings, as they come with Ubuntu MATE 18.04 pre-installed.

Re the Fingerprint reader, my Hybris has one, but no software is configured to support it out-of-the-box from Entroware, and I have not sought to implement it. Everything works fine, it is just as if a Fingerprint reader is not installed.

I forgot about this topic, so sorry that I reply so late on this.
I do not consider this laptop anymore.

Thanks for the replies!
