Trying to install Ubuntu Mate 17.04 on a new Lenovo Flex 5 laptop with UEFI BIOS and 512 GB SSD. When I go through the installation, the SSD is not visible by the Ubuntu installer. Is there something I need to change in the BIOS?
Please help resolve this issue.

Can you please boot into the live session and check out using the gparted system tool if it detects the hard drive?
Try looking the BIOS for an option with “SATA” in the title that can be changed from something like “RAID” to “AHCI” (or that you can turn off RAID with). Note that I believe once you change this you would need to reinstall Windows if you are keeping it.
