My friend had Windows problem with his old laptop, so I made him a Ubuntu Mate 16.04 LTS dvd. I gave it to him and he installed it himself. He is not a nerd, but he have installed windows before. After some days I asked him how it went, and he was superhappy 
The laptop had got a new life.
So there we have a new Linux user on Ubuntu Mate
