NFS mount or soft link are failing in latest few updates in 16.04

I’ve either had a link or a mount point in my home dir to a NFS share for all my music files, this is now failing if not connected to the network. It is not possible to access my home dir (e.g. do ls). Starting any program that accesses home/… will cause a hang on my laptop.

Symlinks or setting noauto mounts in fstab are confirmed not working (only in home dir), removing them eliminates problems.
Mounting to mountpoints in /mnt works fine though.

Now running ubuntuMATE 16.06, 4.4.0-57-generic x86_64. Only tested WiFi.

Someone having the same troubles?

Hi @kawreh,

have you tried Samba?:
