NFS shared setup help

Yes, they are. And to make simpler, both run the latest MATE.

Tx SFromley, how do edit a config file? I guess it has to be done from the terminal.

“gksudo pluma /path/to/config.file” should open the config file as root. And yes, from the terminal.
