I installed mate desktop over an ubuntu gnome, and there is no mutiny or redmond option in tweak tool.
There is also no option to turn on hud, advanced menu, or indicator for keyboard lights.
I had a wonderful time with mate, until I decided to get ubuntu gnome on my computer (Ugh!) and I installed mate back on my computer.
MATE Tweak only shows layouts when you have all the components installed that each layout needs. So layouts that need Plank will disappear if you remove Plank, for example.
To install everything that comes with Ubuntu MATE, you can run
sudo apt install ubuntu-mate-desktop^
That final ^ is important here. You can run it with -s for a “dry-run” simulation to see what it will install:
sudo apt -s install ubuntu-mate-desktop^

E: Couldn't find task 'ubuntu-mate-desktop'
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'ubuntu-mate-desktop^'
What version of Ubuntu MATE are you using?
I am using 17.04 from live cd installer

Do you mean it's still running from the live image, and not installed? If so, I think that's why you can't install the task (with the ^). I tried the dry run -s option here on an install of 17.10, but live sessions are different.
You could try installing the meta package not as a task, without the caret (^), so
sudo apt install ubuntu-mate-desktop
If it says it's already installed, but you need the recommended packages that are not, you could try removing it and reinstalling it, but it will remove a lot of packages. I can't think of another good solution.
No i installed it but the disk let’s you try it live but I installed over windkws
OK,then I’m not sure why that’s coming up missing. Can you install the meta package, so without the caret (^)?
So, finally I got a fresh MATE installation and I have all the layouts now. Thank you so much for your help!
