Nomacs image viewer completely freezes the system

Hi,
Nomacs completely freezes Ubuntu MATE 10.10 on GPD Pocket 2.
It works well with no problem on Peppermint 9.
Nomacs is a good image viewer so I hope the problem will be fixed.
