So I am a complete Linux noob and I have just installed Ubuntu MATE on an old netbook of mine with a new hard drive. I need to install Windows in order to use certain applications, but I have no idea how to create hard disk partitions. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Thanks in advance.
you can use fdisk or gparted to create disk partitions but read about it first since a mistake can be costly. Also, depending on what Windows apps you need to run, take a look at wine, you can install on linux and run Windows apps.
