I've been banned by my Desktop from installing software
On Software Boutique and other Software apps. org.freedesktop.PolicyKit.Error.Failed: ('system-bus-name', {'name': ':1.109'}): org.debian.apt.install-or-remove-packages
What could I have done?
NOTE: I can still install software from the CLI with sudo apt.....
SOLVED! Went to "ask Ubuntu" and searched for the error message. Apparently this has happened as far back as Ubuntu 12, The Policy Authentication Agent box was not checked. It should be checked to start when the system is booted. Go here>>
System>Preferences>Personal>Policy Authentication Agent Check the box.
I don't remember unchecking this.
