Official 7" LCD touchscreen, unable to rotate

Hi, I heard that the proper way to to rotate the LC screen is to add lcd=rotate=2 to config.txt file.
And it works fine on raspbian, unfortunately for me I'm using Bluetooth speakers for the sound output and I found that only Ubuntu offers half decent experience with BT sound out of the box. Long story short, what will be the correct way to rotate lcd screen by180 degrees in thge latest Ubuntu Mate ?
Note that I want to rotate both the display itself and touch screen, so display_rotate=2 wont work for me.
Thanks for all the help.

Hey there, I do have the same problem, but no solution yet:
The HDMI output is working just fine and as expected,
but the 7" LCD touchscreen is 180 degrees inverted.
Because the connectors are on the top, i cannot turn it around.
So there has to be done a software solution.
Does anyone have an idea? Please help.
Thanks in Advance.
