Open password protected .odt document

I have an .odt document that is password protected.
I am using LibreOffice.

Is there a way to open it without having to manually supply the password every time?

Security is not an issue as I am the only person with access to my computer.

Hi fixit7,

did you set a password for the doc or did it happen of its own accord?.

Thanks.

I set the password.

  1. Open the document using LibreOffice / OpenOffice
  2. Select File --> Save As...
  3. In the Save dialog box -> uncheck the Save with password option
  4. Click Save (overwrite the existing file, now without a password) or edit the name of the new file and afterwards click Save
