Opt-in telemetry in Ubuntu Mate after upgrade?

I would like to contribute back with my data to make Ubuntu better. I upgraded from Ubuntu Mate 17.10 to 18.04 and I would like to know how to opt-in to give back diagnostic data. I can’t find an option in the control center or in the welcome app.

I’ve looked for it as well and cannot find it either

Try installing ubuntu-report:
sudo apt install ubuntu-report

Then run it from the command line

Thank you for your help. I sent my data, but now I’m wondering if there is not additional things I can do. For instance I heard mentioned that there was also a popularity contest for the apps, like popcon.

Thanks for contributing your data to Ubuntu  The more data they have, the better decisions they can make. I think this is a win for all of us.

So I checked, and the popularity contest was installed on my system, but it seems like it wasn’t doing anything. So I ran this:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure popularity-contest

and got a prompt to enable it.

Running it takes a while, probably based on how many packages you have installed, but I got a list at the end and it seems like it was sent somewhere.

There is the https://popcon.ubuntu.com/ website, but I’m not sure that’s the one… Saw some references to pretty outdated stuff, so they’re probably using a new server?
