I tried a live CD of UM 24.04. I get the same error each time. Is this an issue of compatibility of my hardware or a bug?
i have the same problem with the brisk menu. i think its a bug and its a F* pane.
I have a workaround but you have to do this ever time you start up.

When you see this error click "Don't Delete" button.

Press Ctrl + Alt + T on your keyboard to bring up Mate terminal

in the terminal type:
killall mate-panel
- the panel will restart and you will have brisk menu loaded in the panel.
