Phantom Terminal is Open

Hey everyone,

This is my first post here, and I installed Ubuntu MATE 15.10 a few days ago. However, there is a “phantom terminal” I can’t get rid of. It has no window border and I haven’t been able to get rid of it. Any advice? I can’t upload the screenshot yet since I’m new…

Thanks in advance!

John

Hi John and welcome to the Ubuntu Mate community first off! Secondly, is this “phantom terminal” still on the screen after you reboot your computer? Is this a reoccurring issue?

Thanks and I hope you enjoy our community.

It’s gone after rebooting. I didn’t want to reboot in case there might be something else I could try (I had some things open I didn’t want to close). Thanks for replying. I wonder what caused that… I’ll post here again if it comes back.

Is it tilda? F12 will toggle it off/on.

I don’t know. When I get home I will see if F12 toggles it. If not, I’ll install Tilda; it sounds interesting!

edit: Yep. It is Tilda. Now that I know it isn’t a weird bug and how to open/close it, I’m sure I’ll be using it often! Thanks @layingback!
