Following this post here after continuing to research I have surround sound! Evidentially the module I needed was “k8x800” so by adding the following line to alsa-base.conf I got everything working!

options snd-ice1724 model=k8x800

It works for me, but that could be because Google is recognizing that I loaded it somehow--the link was originally in some other language and I translated it using the link for that. Don't recall what the original language was now. Here:
