Power Management quits working every 4 days

I have a problem with Ubuntu Mate.

My power Mgmt quits working every 4 to 5 days and I have to ctrl alt backspace to get it working again for another 4 days. This happens on all Debian based distros.

I have used SUSE and Fedora and that does not happen for me in MATE.

Here are my computer specs:

CPU: Intel i5 670 (4) @ 3.459GHz
GPU: Intel Core Processor
Memory: 1836MiB / 7751MiB

If you need anything else please list the command in your reply I am kinda a novice when it comes to Linux. I know how to like get around but not deep under the hood.

Just trying to get some clarification here. When you said "I have used SUSE and Fedora and that does not happen for me in MATE" did you mean that you're using the MATE desktop in SuSE and Fedora and it's not happening?

Also are you using any different packages for power management like TLP or just what comes out of the box?
