Problem with ASUS Q552u 2-in-1, nvidia-352 and plymouth

There is a problem with the nvidia proprietary drivers and the Plymouth boot screen.
I have to add “nosplash verbose” to my kernel command line in order to boot.
If I don’t then I will be left at a frozen boot screen, and I can’t switch to other tty’s.
I have to force a shutdown.

I also have a asus q552u 2in1.

Hi,

try downgrading your Nvidia driver to version 304?:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get remove nvidia-352 && sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

I have tried that, and never mind I figured out it is a hardware problem.
A few Hardware problems.
