Hi everyone
I've noticed the following announcement, that was published today (Thursday, 26th June 2025), in the Official "Ubuntu Community Hub" / "(Canonical) Ubuntu Discourse", by utkarsh (Utkarsh Gupta), from Canonical:
This relates to another previous discussion topic in that "Ubuntu Discourse", namely the topic "Supercharging Ubuntu Releases: Monthly Snapshots & Automation" that was started/ published 20 days ago (on 29th May 2025) by jnsgruk (Jon Seager), also from Canonical:
From that first post, I'll quote here the following part:
"(...) For the 25.10 (Questing Quokka) cycle, you can expect the following release schedule (at the time of writing, subject to change):
- May 29, 2025: Questing Quokka - Snapshot 1
- June 26, 2025: Questing Quokka - Snapshot 2
- July 31, 2025: Questing Quokka - Snapshot 3
- August 28, 2025: Questing Quokka - Snapshot 4
- September 18, 2025: Questing Quokka - Beta
- October 9, 2025: Questing Quokka - Final Release
This doesn’t mean you’ll start seeing Ubuntu versions off the six-month cadence. There will be no Ubuntu 25.07 or 25.08, etc. The monthly snapshots are exactly that: a snapshot of the development of Ubuntu 25.10. Snapshots are not meant for production use (...)"
I've noticed that the "Questing Snapshot 2" release of "Ubuntu MATE 25.10 (Questing Quokka)" has been published and it's available at the following location:

I hope you'll also find this interesting
