Randomly I can't rename files or folders in a folder

I'm on Ubuntu Mate 20.04.03, Kernel 5.4.0-91.
Sorry if this post is a duplicate, I know that this problem has been discussed before, this bug exist from 18.04 and maybe before, but I see that has never been fixed.
I can't find a way to replicate the problem, but I know that sometimes it's impossible to rename files or folders staying in a folder. I have to extract the object from the folder to the desktop, rename and move back to the folder.
Why?
There will be a fix?

Hi smurf,

I'm also on 20.04 and I have encountered the same problem.

This problem only (but always) happens if the number of files in the folder (that is: icons in the window) exactly fit the window size.
If you resize the window you'll see that the problem disappears.
(that is also the workaround I use)

Please add your 'this bug affects me too' to the bugreport here:

And also here:

It is one of the strangest bugs I've ever encountered
but at least I can use this workaround so it bothers me not too much anymore.

ok Tkn.
I wrote in the first Bug, not in second because is not my case, the size is not important for this issue.

Yes, now I understand, the size of the window is the problem. Enlarging the window I can rename the files.
Sorry
