I’ve been using my Pi 3 without any problems for the past weeks and it got even better when I was able to update it to 16.04. Since internal bluetooth is now supported, I’d like to remove the bluetooth dongle and connect it directly. But the problem is I’m not sure how. I removed the dongle and tried but it says no device was found. Do I need to install something to get it working? Can anyone help me with this please? Thanks in advance!
Moved to Raspberry forum. Hope you get some hits
You have to turn on bluetooth… search the bluetooth device that you are going to use and pair it. Or share it.
Try it.
I did hcitool scan but I got a “no device found”. Is there something I need to run so that it uses the built-in vs the dongle?
Hi …
Both bluetooth must be turn on,(your raspberry pi bluetooth must be turn on and the other bluetooth device which you want to connect with the bluetooth must be turn as well.) Make your bluetooth device discoverable. Try it on tour handphone bluetooth turn see. See if your raspberry pi 3 can detect it.
If you are using pi2. Hook up the bluetooth usb dongle or stick and turn on and make it discoverable with the bluetooth device which you want to pair with.
It will scan your device which near to your raspberry pi.see if the raspberry pi bluetooth pick up anything…
I have pi 3. How do you it on? I was able to pair it with my mouse using the usb dongle before without any problem. I just want to use the built in bluetooth of pi 3.
