I am sure it may trigger a lot of thinking, possibly about how to get attention on elements which are of specific interest to UbuntuMATE Community, but have a more generic scope

TL;DR - Essentially a new variant of the "daily" ISO, but for developers working on the literal edge (snap wise) since Canonical work in sprints (agile development) which they call "spikes". "Dangerous" as in, regular testers probably wouldn't need to use these images.
